Leverless Tyre Changer

The SICE S45 Top Line is a 24” Tyre changer incorporates many features making it, in our opinion, the best tyre changer the UK has to offer. Top of the features list is the leverless mounting head, removing the need for any levers during the tyre changing operation.

Instead of the traditional method of inserting a tyre lever to bring the bead up on to the mounting head, the head itself incorporates a deployable “finger”. Once in position and at the press of a button, the finger deploys and slides between the bead and the tyres rim.

The finger is then lifted up at the press of a button, taking the tyre bead with it and manoeuvres it onto the mounting head. The turntable is then rotated to remove the top bead before carrying out the same procedure on the bottom bead.

The whole leverless process removes the need for what is essentially a solid metal bar to change the tyre. With today’s OEM and aftermarket wheels costing a large amount of money do you really want to have a tyre lever, under force, so close to expensive metal?

PT 250 Assist Arm

The PT 250 Assist Arm is a patented bead lifting/pressing device to assist the operator, particularly on “difficult” low profile and run flat tyres.
There are several different parts to the assist arm to help with the following;

• A helical device (patented) applied to the rotating arm is fitted with a disk and allows the operator push the bead of the tyre into the wheel well without creating stress on the bead.
• Pneumatic wheel press cone for centring alloy wheel on the table
• The top disc assists in bead lubrication
• Lower lifting disc helps the bottom bead to be lifted
• Rotating arm eases pressure on the bead during fitting

Internal clamping capacity of 27”

The table of the SICE S45 Top line tyre changer allows internal clamping up to 27”. This is large enough clamping capacity to cope with almost any wheel out there on the road today. The special clamping jaw protection covers that are supplied with the machine also limit the damage that can occur when clamping.

The inside clamping capacity of the tyre changer is 24” meaning most alloys will be able to be clamped from the outside on this tyre fitting machine, which is always advisable.
